Our History

Since 1927, our company has been an official member of the American Gear Manufacturers Association, and we have constantly expanded our capabilities to reflect the needs of our growing client base. Today, Federal Gear and Machine occupies a 22,000 square foot facility in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and offers both gearing and machining solutions. David Hegenbarth President, Federal Gear and Machine

David Hegenbarth is President of Federal Gear and Machine. As President, David is responsible for all company operations with specific focus on customer satisfaction, business development and new market expansions. He completed Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and APICS CPIM certifications with expertise in supply chain management, theory of constraints and service excellence. Prior to Federal Gear and Machine, David was a Sales Manager for Thilmany Papers and International Papers, and served as a consultant for i2, a leading technology solutions provider for supply chain planning and optimization. Additional career experience includes a variety of sales and management roles with Avery Dennison. Hegenbarth holds a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA with concentrations in Corporate Strategy and Operations from the University of Michigan
